Is Prey good?

Naru is a great character, and Amber Midthunder does a terrific job at portraying her. The stakes are upped here and there by the presence of her animal sidekick. Her never-ending struggle for survival is entertaining, but the action itself is what really draws you in. If you're looking for a violent film, go no further; the Predator is out in full force in this one. You anticipate amazing killing, but the sheer volume of deaths takes you by surprise. While the blatant cgi blood might be annoying at times, the movie benefits from other aspects of its cheap budget. While it would have been nice to experience something in its native language, I can get beyond the fact that it isn't in English and get on with my life. Sometimes there are problems with the story's plausibility, too. There are occasional occurrences that will make you scratch your head, but they are infrequent enough to be ignored. The picture has slow spots, but whenever the tale seems to be having trouble, it picks up again. Next time, let's get Dan Trachtenberg back in the fold and get his film into theaters. Some of the murders in this film might have been more effective on a large screen. It is also a movie I am wanting to watch again, and that may play nicely into my excitement for it a second time. It seems that Prey Prey movie review is one that will only improve with time.
